Carrie is

Whetstone helps professional service firms
develop and implement effective growth plans.
For these clients, Carrie facilitates and develops comprehensive marketing
and sales plans while providing ongoing support and consultation to help clients
grow. In addition, Carrie lends strategic and creative direction to clients'
ongoing direct marketing efforts. Her duties include organizing and managing
all aspects of the client's campaigns including defining objectives, identifying
target markets, acquiring lists, message development and overseeing lead generation.
Carrie also helps clients develop follow-up strategies to help manage the
sales process with their prospective clients.
Before joining Whetstone,
Carrie marketed professional services for McGladrey & Pullen, LLP and RSM
McGladrey, Inc. for five years. She developed, organized and managed marketing
programs for one region's 12 offices and its information technology services
group. She also helped pilot and refine the client-needs based marketing and
sales process that later served as the firm standard.
In addition, Carrie spent two years as part of the firms' national marketing
organization management team, assisting in developing and implementing the
firm's first national direct marketing effort, including coordinating mailing
lists, mailing and telemarketing follow up and appointment setting.
Carrie also worked with business units to develop plans and advise location
marketing resources on the strategy and implementation of the tactics. She
helped plan and implement a sales and marketing blitz that generated over
$1 million in one month for the firm's national information technology consulting
group.
Carrie is a skilled trainer and helps professional service firms implement customized sales training sessions that help attendees better understand the sales cycle and develop the personal skills necessary to close sales. In addition, she has conducted group training for CPAs as well as marketing professionals on various topics from niche marketing to proposal development. Carrie has presented for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and has been published in the Association for Accounting Marketing's MarkeTrends.
