Created for firms with
annual revenues $5 million and under, the Growth Network is intended to assist
those who don't have the budget to invest in full growth planning but still
seek to learn best practices and strategies.
Develop
the skills necessary
to
be a leader of growth in your firm.
- Education. Two
hours of materials that qualify for CPE credit will be provided at each
session. Theory and processes for growth will be discussed. Possible topics
include: Marketing vs. sales and how they are different, strategic approaches
to growth planning, how everyone in the firm plays a role in growth and
how to get more referrals from COIs and clients.
- Tools. Each
session will provide specific tools and how to implement them in the firm
or niche teams. Examples include: Client service plans, goal setting, tracking
and reporting, pipeline reporting, ROI on partner time spent on business
development, long term follow-up planning, and client testimonials.
- Projects. During
the sessions the group will work on common projects and will be asked to
bring examples of what their firm is doing now. Project work allows for
the sharing of best practices and a chance to debrief and provide constructive
suggestions for improvement. Suggested projects include: proposals, firm
brochures, sales training programs, Web sites, marketing collateral and
marketing plans.
- Networking.
The group will have an opportunity to ask questions to each other and the
facilitators on topics of interest. Open forum topics can be determined
in advance or be ad hoc. Between sessions a ListServ will be set up as a
place to get input and answers to specific questions. In addition, each
member can contact Lisa
Rhatigan, Whetstone's Vice President, for questions and ongoing
guidance and consulting via telephone for up to one hour per month.
